Pathway - Phase 2 - Data Automation: Echosounders - Automated analytical tools (that generate estimates of fish frequency, abundance, and distribution)

Instream tidal power development in the Bay of Fundy requires the ability to effectively monitor for potential environmental effects, and the capacity to quickly disseminate monitoring results to regulators and stakeholders. The development and application of standardized monitoring approaches, including data collection protocols, analytical methods and reporting formats, enables not only the comparability of datasets collected by independent monitoring efforts, but also the ability to examine temporal trends for assessing longer term environmental effects of tidal power projects.
