Assessment of Potential Ecosystem Effects from Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) Associated with Subsea Power Cables and TISEC Devices in Minas Channel

This report discusses concerns regarding the potential effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in the context of other potential environmental impacts associated with generation of electrical power from tidal energy in general and the local environment of Minas Channel in particular. Available literature on the potential effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) is summarized for a broad audience, drawing upon a number of major reviews in the US and Europe that were recent to the time of publication.
